Claire Chase is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Communication at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research intersects the areas of design, civic engagement, public deliberation and technology. Claire is currently a research assistant for RIPS, Resilient Interdependent Infrastructure Processes and Systems, a National Science Foundation funded team of Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, and Environmental Design researchers studying stakeholder engagement in resilient infrastructure planning. Claire has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and Master of Arts in Communication from Saint Louis University. Before embarking on her Ph.D. in Communication, Claire worked in various research roles with the Pierce County (Washington) Department of Assigned Counsel, and Brandtrust, a marketing and brand consulting firm in Chicago, Illinois.
